Lasik eye surgery is a new form of technology that has recently been put out into society. I feel it's a controversial topic because some people don't think its worth getting, considering all the possible side effects and also the price. However there are many people who feel its a great choice and have fully taken advantage of the surgery. According to the FDA, Lasik eye surgery is a procedure used to eliminate ones dependence on contact lenses or eyeglasses. Since the procedure there is some speculation as to whether it is fully reliable. According to a source of patients reporting their stories and disaster regarding the procedure, many patients have been left with severe dry eyes, due to cornea nerve damage that could have been done during surgery. These experiences told by the patients can put negative thoughts about the procedure into other people's heads. Also in another source, it reports that there has been a recent rise in controversy after a member of the FDA underwent the procedure and has been having vision problems ever since. As a conclusion there are many pros as well as cons to the lasik procedure and I am looking forward to exploring the new controversy.
